UK Public EV Charging Network Expands By 23% In A Year The UK’s public electric vehicle (EV) charging network has grown by nearly a quarter over the past year, with 15,979 new charge points added since October 2024, according to data from Zapmap. The latest figures, published by the Department for Transport, show that the national charging network now comprises more than 86,000 charge points in total, with an average of one new public charger being installed every 33 minutes. In a demonstration of the viability of electric trucks and the decarbonisation of long-distance haulage, the Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 Team used an eActros 600 to transport its W16 race cars from its UK base at Brackley, Northamptonshire, to Zandvoort in Holland for the 2025 Dutch Grand Prix. Research Finds 95% Of Drivers Would Fail Their Theory Test Now The vast majority of drivers in the UK would not pass their driving theory test if they were asked to sit it again, according to new findings from Direct Line motor insurance. A survey of more than 2,000 motorists asked participants 15 randomly selected questions taken from the current exam.
