HGV Drivers Feel Undervalued as Road Safety Concerns Grow Many members of the public may not fully appreciate the skill, responsibility and pressures involved in driving an HGV, according to new research from Microlise. A survey of 250 transport and logistics managers found that 62% believe the public does not have a full understanding of the role HGV drivers perform. More than half (52%) also said they believe their drivers feel undervalued by other road users. Road safety was a major theme in the research, with managers highlighting several simple changes that motorists could make to reduce risks when sharing the road with larger vehicles.
