Mercedes-Benz Vans UK Ltd is once again celebrating another award win – this time for the eSprinter, which was today honoured with the What Van? Safety Award for 2021.
The Awards are decided by its expert editorial panel comprising decades of experience in the industry.
James Dallas, Editor of What Van?, said: “The eSprinter is the heavyweight contender that is set to propel large electric vans into the mainstream and, as is customary with Mercedes, it is second to none when it comes to the provision of safety equipment. Standard safety features include autonomous emergency braking, attention assist, crosswind assist, and emergency eCall, while security features include double locks and a Thatcham Category 1-approved alarm. Mercedes has given customers’ peace of mind a further boost by endowing the battery with an eight-year, 160,000km warranty.”
In addition, the eSprinter was Highly Commended in the Electric Van of the Year category.
Andy Lawson, Sales Director, Mercedes-Benz Vans UK Ltd, added: “We’ve been extremely fortunate to have won many awards for our products, our people, and our services over the years, and while all are a great honour, there is something particularly special about winning an award for a brand-new vehicle, which is set to be a real game-changer in the industry. To have that award dedicated to the safety of such a vehicle is truly humbling.”
