Light Commercial Vehicle (LCV) Technician – Day Shift
Location: Crawley, West Sussex
Contract: Full-Time | Permanent
Salary: £43,804.80 – £46,729.80 per annum (Dependent on qualification and experience)
Hours: 45 hours per week, plus 1 in 4 Saturdays, 7:00am – 1:00pm (paid at overtime rate)
Working Pattern:
Monday to Friday – 5 days per week, 45 hours, 30-minute unpaid lunch break
Flexible day shift pattern available to suit the successful candidate

We're currently looking for a qualified and experienced Light Commercial Vehicle Technician to join our busy Workshop in Crawley on the day shift.
About the Role
You’ll be responsible for carrying out inspections, servicing, maintenance and repairs on commercial vehicles, working to high standards of safety, quality and workmanship.
As a Mercedes-Benz Commercial Vehicle Dealer, you’ll receive manufacturer training and have a clear career pathway, with opportunities to develop your technical skills and progress from Service/Maintenance Technician through to Systems Technician and Diagnostic Technician.
We understand that the right working pattern can make a real difference, which is why we can offer flexibility around day-shift start and finish times, while maintaining a 45-hour working week.
Key Responsibilities

Carry out servicing, inspections, maintenance and repairs on light commercial vehicles

Diagnose and rectify vehicle faults in line with your level of experience and training

Repair, replace and install vehicle components in line with manufacturer standards

Carry out vehicle inspections and identify any additional work required

Complete all work efficiently, accurately and to a high standard

Ensure job cards and relevant documentation are completed accurately

Carry out vehicle checks and road tests where required

Work in accordance with Mercedes-Benz manufacturer procedures and Company standards

Maintain a safe, clean and organised working environment, following all Health & Safety requirements

Work effectively as part of the workshop team to help meet productivity and customer service standards
About You
To be successful in this role you will:
Essential

Be a qualified Commercial Vehicle Technician to City & Guilds, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent

Take pride in producing high-quality work

Be reliable, responsible and able to work effectively as part of a team

Have a good understanding of workshop Health & Safety requirements

Hold a full UK driving licence
